PRE PROCEDURE BROWS
You may come in with your brows drawn as you normally do. This allows your artist to see how you generally wear them.
Avoid scheduling your appointment on or around your menstrual cycle.
This can increase pain and bleeding which affects retention.
Do not consume any blood thinners 48 hours before your procedure (caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E, Omega 3 – these will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results including migration, bruising and poor retention).
We prefer to clean up your brows at your initial appointment so that we can include as much natural hair as possible, especially if you’re wanting to change your shape. You may clean up your brows for the perfecting session. However, if you do decide to wax your brows, it should be done at least 1 week before your appointment.
Please do NOT tint your brows prior to your procedure
Tanning should be avoided for at least 1 weeks prior and approximately 2 weeks after or until all scabs have come off.
Stop using any skin thinners and lighteners (vitamin A, vitamin C, retinol, glycolic acids, alpha hydroxyl) on the brow area 2 weeks before your appointment.
If you are getting a chemical peel, it is recommended that you ask your esthetician or dermatologist when they feel it is safe for you to get your brows done. We require you to wait at least 4 weeks before receiving services.
If using any type of Accutane, you must stop topical application at least 6 months prior and internal dosage (pills) for at least a year before services. Failure to do so can cause severe scarring.
If using any type of brow serum- like Latisse, you must stop at least 6 months prior and at least 4 weeks after the final session. Using serum post procedure can decrease retention.

Pre-Procedure
Lips
PRE PROCEDURE LIPS
You must exfoliate your lips 3 days before your appointment, and then keep them extremely moisturized with a non-petroleum lip balm at all times up until your appointment.
Cold sores are a risk to Permanent Lip Cosmetics. If you have had a cold sore in the past, we advise you to go to the doctor for an antiviral medication before any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Even if you have not had a cold sore before, we recommend all of our clients take an antiviral medication ( prescribed by your PCP) 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks after the appointment to reduce the risk. You can also pick up Abreva, an over the counter treatment for cold sores to use after the Permanent Cosmetic procedure.
Bring in your favorite lipsticks! Color matching is a possibility!
Avoid scheduling your appointment on or around your menstrual cycle as it can increase pain and bleeding which affects retention.
DO NOT consume any blood thinners at least 24 hours before your procedure. These include caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E and Omega 3. They will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results including migration, bruising and poor retention.
Waxing or hair removal around the lips should be done at least 3 days before the procedure.
Tanning should be avoided for at least 1 week prior and approximately 2 weeks after, or until all scabs have come off.
If using any type of Accutane, you must stop topical for at least 6 months prior and internal (pills) for at least a year. Failure to do so can cause severe scarring.

Pre-Procedure
Eyeliner
PRE PROCEDURE EYELINER
Lash serums cannot be used for a minimum of 6 months to a year before eyeliner services, depending on your skin type. They thin the skin and can cause major pigment migration and scarring. If your lash line is reddish-purplish, you can see a lot of veins, or your lash line is still itchy, you need to wait longer before getting a lash enhancement or eyeliner tattoo.
You must remove lash extensions and cannot put them back on until 2-4 weeks after the last eyeliner session.
No waterproof mascara or waterproof eyeliner may be used for 1 week prior to your appointment.
No mascara of any type may be used on the day of your procedure or for the 3 days prior.
Avoid scheduling your appointment on or around your menstrual cycle; it can increase pain and bleeding which affects retention.
DO NOT consume any blood thinners at least 24 hours before your procedure. These include caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin E and Omega 3. They will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results including migration, bruising and poor retention.
