BROW AFTERCARE
Aftercare is extremely important for producing a beautiful and lasting result. Please understand the more products you use, the less effectively the procedure may heal. Failure to follow these aftercare instructions may result in infections, pigment loss or discoloration.
Immediately after the procedure, brows may have a shiny, wet look to them. This is lymphatic fluid and needs to be gently patted off with a damp cotton pad to reduce scabbing.
24 hours after the initial procedure, before bed make sure your hands are clean then use antibacterial soap and warm water to gently wipe and cleanse your brows. Be sure to also clean the area of skin around your brows as well to reduce flakiness. Then apply a thin layer of the healing cream onto your brows.
Day 3&4: Repeat the steps above when you wake up and before bed.
Day 5 & onward: Do your best to leave your brows alone. Once the area starts to scab, try to avoid getting it wet. However, if you feel that your brows are dirty you may lightly rinse your brows with water, IF NEEDED.
If the area is itchy, do not scratch.
Once all your scabs have fall off, please apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) onto your brows.
Ice packs are a nice relief for swelling and bruising. Never apply directly to the skin; place a towel between the ice pack and the skin. Ice may be applied for 20 minutes maximum.
Do not use harsh cleansing creams, acne cleansers, or astringents.
Do not scrub, rub or pick at the scabs that form; allow it to flake off naturally. If it is removed before it is ready, the pigment underneath may be pulled out.
Do not use any makeup near the procedure area for at least 10 days or until all scabs have fallen off.
It is best to purchase new makeup if possible, to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.
Avoid sun exposure, including tanning, saunas, working out, hot showers or other activities that involve sweating and steam for 10 days or at least until all scabs have fallen off. Sweat contains salt which will break down your pigment faster resulting in premature fading. When you get back into these activities make sure you are patting your brows down and not letting the sweat soak into your brows.
LIP AFTERCARE
Failure to follow these aftercare instructions as provided by our Permanent Cosmetic Artist may result in infections, pigment loss or discoloration.
Your lips will feel dryer and tighter than usual afterward, so it’s very important to keep your lips moist with a non-petroleum lip balm at all times. Use a clean cotton swab to apply the lip balm so that you avoid infection and also to prevent spreading a cold sore virus if one appears.
Ice packs are a nice relief for swelling and bruising. Never apply them directly to the skin. Use a towel between the ice pack and the skin. Ice can be applied for 20 mins maximum.
Avoid wine, acidic, salty and spicy foods, coffee or other food and drinks that may stain the lips until fully healed.
Gently clean your lips with water after eating. Do not scrub, rub or pick at the scabs that form. Allow these to flake off by themselves. If removed before they are ready, the pigment underneath may be pulled out.
It is advised to not use any makeup on your lips for at least 10 days after your final session. Doing so can interfere with your permanent makeup on your lips and may change the color. It is best to purchase new makeup if possible, to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.
Avoid sun exposure and sweat, including tanning, saunas and working out for approximately 10 days/two weeks or until all scabs have fallen off.
Always use sunblock after the procedure area scabs have fallen off to protect from fading and sun damage. In general, tanning will fade your Permanent Cosmetics faster and may discolor it, even if you cover the area as UV rays are absorbed and flow throughout your body.
EYELINER AFTERCARE
Ice packs are a nice relief for swelling and bruising. Never apply directly to the skin; use a towel between the ice pack and the skin. Use ice for 20 minutes maximum.
You may sleep with your head/upper body slightly elevated to reduce swelling.
Keep the area clean by washing with freshly washed hands and antibacterial soap. DO NOT use a washcloth or sponge to remove soap. Simply splash with water to cleanse the soap off then pat dry.
If the area is itchy, do not scratch.
After cleansing, apply on your healing ointment on your lid; it will migrate down towards your eye and cover the eyeliner area.
Do not scrub, rub or pick at the scabs that form; allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready the pigment underneath may be pulled out.
Do not use any makeup near the procedure area for at least 10 days or until scabs have fallen off. It is best to purchase new makeup if possible to avoid contamination or bacterial infection.
Do not use any lash serum until 4 weeks after your perfecting session. It is best to not use any lash serum after getting Eyeliner Permanent Cosmetics due to the possibility of it thinning and making your skin more sensitive, as well as possibly changing pigment color.
Avoid sun exposure, including tanning, as well as saunas, working out or other activities that involve sweating until all scabs have fallen off.
Always use sunblock after the procedure area scabs have fallen off to protect from fading and sun damage.
Do your best to sleep on your back. If you do sleep on your side, the side that you sleep on will typically heal lighter than the side you do not sleep on.
